About The Position

Lazard is hiring a 2028 Summer Analyst for its New York M&A / Restructuring Generalist program. The internship provides exposure across M&A coverage groups and the Restructuring group. Summer Analysts are expected to spend nine weeks at the Firm. Day-to-day work depends on prior experience and abilities and may include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, helping develop client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. Assignments may involve M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets. The program begins with a week-long comprehensive training program in New York and includes formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and social and networking events with bankers across the Firm. Direct placement opportunities in Restructuring are also available.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a US university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree, with an expected graduation date in December 2028 or May/June 2029.
• Top academic performance.
• Motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
• Strong quantitative background.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities
