About The Position
The Suites Barback, Premium supports bartenders in a suite environment by supplying bar items and other requested materials to help provide exceptional guest service. The role includes stocking bar items, replenishing ice bins, anticipating needs throughout the shift, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The employee must arrive on time and prepared, set up the assigned work area as directed, follow operating standards, and provide prompt, quality service. The position also requires following safety policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable training requirements. This position is represented by Unite Here Local 11, and union dues are required as part of membership. Compensation is $27.32 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to interact with coworkers to support compliance with company service standards.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English to communicate with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–50 pounds.
- Must be able to work all events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Two to three years of experience working in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant.
- California Food Handlers Certification.
- California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Stock bar items daily and fill ice bins as needed.
- Anticipate needs throughout the shift.
- Help keep all areas clean and organized.
- Report to work on time and prepared; know the assigned work area and set it up as directed.
- Follow operating standards in the policy and procedure manual.
- Ensure prompt, quality service.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Practice safe work habits, follow safety policies and procedures and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
