SUD ROSC Coordinator

Carle Health•Peoria, IL

About The Position

The SUD ROSC Coordinator establishes a Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC): a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities. The goal is to support recovery and improved health, wellness, and quality of life for people with or at risk of substance use and/or co-occurring conditions. The coordinator focuses on creating an infrastructure with the resources to address the full range of these conditions in local Peoria-area communities. The coordinator is responsible for developing a local ROSC council and serves as its lead collaborator with community members. The council supports the IDHS/SUPR mission of promoting a statewide recovery-oriented system of care across prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support. This system values people with substance use and/or co-occurring conditions, people in recovery, and those at risk, treating them with dignity and working to eliminate stigma, discrimination, and other barriers to recovery. The SUD ROSC Support Specialist reports directly to the ROSC Coordinator.
