About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring part-time substitute teachers for the 2026–27 school year in Keller and the surrounding Fort Worth area. Substitute teachers work in K–12 schools, covering teaching assignments and helping students learn. They may also support school operations through lunch and recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and test proctoring.

Teachers set their own schedule and can work up to five days per week, choosing assignments that interest them. The role offers daily and long-term assignments, weekly pay, support from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and an opportunity to build experience that may lead to permanent roles at high-performing K–12 schools. Requirements

• At least one year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
• At least 48 college credit hours completed.
• Confidence managing a classroom of students.
• Willingness to step in where needed, including supervision, tutoring, and test proctoring.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Cover classroom teaching assignments and lesson plans at K–12 schools.
• Manage a classroom of students.
