About The Position
The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc. is hiring a Substitute Teacher for its Preschool/Infant/Toddler programs in Calaveras County. This is an onsite seasonal position based across multiple sites, working directly with children in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The role supports children’s growth and development in a nurturing environment and provides a positive learning experience through engaging, play-based activities. The substitute collaborates with a team of educators and helps maintain a safe learning environment. The posting gives two pay ranges: $16.90–$17.25 per hour in the opening description and $16.00–$16.50 per hour in the seasonal role description.
Requirements
- Possess at least six Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, or three ECE units and current enrollment in an additional three ECE units.
- Submit transcripts with the resume/application.
- Have a valid California Driver’s License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.
- Complete required health screenings.
- Provide proof of a current negative TB test.
- Have required immunizations under Community Care Licensing, including measles, pertussis, and influenza.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Be flexible and able to work effectively in a team.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commit to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
