About The Position

The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc. is hiring a Substitute Teacher for its Preschool/Infant/Toddler programs in Calaveras County. This onsite, seasonal position involves working directly with young children in Head Start and Early Head Start programs across multiple sites. The teacher supports children's growth and development through engaging, play-based activities and helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment while collaborating with other educators. The posting gives two hourly pay ranges: $16.90–$17.25 and $16.00–$16.50.

Requirements

• Possess at least six Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, or three ECE units and current enrollment in an additional three ECE units.
• Submit transcripts with the resume or application.
• Have a valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.
• Complete required health screenings and provide proof of a current negative TB test.
• Have required immunizations under Community Care Licensing, including measles and pertussis, and a current influenza shot.
• Demonstrate a passion for working with young children, strong communication skills, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and organization.
• Commit to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
