About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring substitute teachers in Garden Acres and the surrounding Fort Worth area for the 2026–27 school year. Substitute teachers work in K–12 schools, stepping into teaching assignments and helping students learn. They serve as positive role models, support classroom learning, and may assist with other school needs. Schedules are set by the substitute, with assignments available up to five days per week. Daily positions pay $151 per day and long-term positions pay $167 per day, with weekly pay via W-2. Requirements

• At least one year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
• At least 48 completed college credit hours.
• Confidence managing a classroom of students.
• Willingness to assist with school needs such as lunch or recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and testing proctoring.
• Pass state and federal background checks; the costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
• Believe that every child has a unique and powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities

• Cover classroom teaching assignments and support students’ learning.
• Manage a classroom of students.
