About The Position
Cadence Education is hiring a Substitute Montessori Teacher to support its teaching teams and provide high-quality learning experiences in a safe, nurturing Montessori environment. The role works alongside faculty with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and Kindergarten-aged children, from birth through age 6. Substitutes may step in for full-time teachers during absences, breaks, or planning periods, and work a flexible schedule as needed. No prior Montessori experience is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 19 years old, or 18 if enrolled in college.
- Interest in working with young children from infancy through Kindergarten.
- Enthusiasm for the Montessori philosophy.
- Meet state preschool teacher or assistant requirements.
- Flexible availability to work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support trained Montessori teachers and assist in the classroom.
- Cover for full-time faculty during absences, breaks, or planning periods.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom aligned with Montessori standards.
- Actively supervise and provide basic care for young children.
- Assist with activities that encourage curiosity, independence, and joyful learning.
- Collaborate with faculty to provide consistent, high-quality experiences for children and families.
- Support a child-centered Montessori environment and the development of the whole child.
