About The Position

The Montessori Assistant Teacher supports the Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher in all classroom areas. Working as part of a team of educators, the Assistant Teacher helps provide children with an authentic Montessori experience. The role includes ensuring children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and school and company standards; facilitating fun, interactive learning experiences; developing skills in observing, assessing, and planning activities for children; and communicating with families under the guidance of the lead teacher or guide. The position includes extensive training on child care and development topics.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field.
• Have completed a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state education requirements; additional school requirements may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Montessori training, certification, or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and school and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Work with a Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher to facilitate fun and interactive learning experiences in an authentic Montessori classroom.
• Develop the ability to observe and assess children and plan activities for them.
