About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking a Substitute Montessori Teacher to support its teaching teams and provide high-quality learning experiences in a nurturing Montessori environment. Substitute teachers work alongside faculty and step in for full-time teachers during absences, breaks, or planning periods. They support infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and Kindergarten students from birth through age 6. The role involves helping create a safe, joyful, clean, and organized classroom; providing active supervision and basic care; assisting with hands-on learning activities; and encouraging children’s independence, curiosity, and development. Substitutes collaborate with faculty to maintain a consistent experience for children and families. The position offers a flexible schedule, with work as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 19 years old, or at least 18 if enrolled in college.
Interest in working with young children from infancy through Kindergarten.
Meets state preschool teacher or assistant requirements.
Flexible availability to work as needed.

Nice To Haves

Enthusiasm for the Montessori philosophy; prior Montessori experience is not required.

Responsibilities
