Substitute Early Childhood Assistant Teacher - The LEAP School
About The Position
The LEAP School is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Assistant Teachers for its Lexington, Bedford, and Sudbury locations. Full-time and part-time positions are available for now, July, and September. The school offers extensive training in a supportive learning environment, small class sizes, and opportunities for professional growth. Assistant Teachers develop meaningful relationships with students and individualize their teaching to meet students’ needs. They collaborate with fellow teachers, participate in professional development, and contribute flexibility and enthusiasm to a positive atmosphere focused on teaching young children. Teachers design curriculum for their groups based on their interests and expertise, students’ interests and needs, and collaboration with colleagues. Curriculum Directors support teachers in presenting curriculum successfully, while the leadership team provides classroom support, weekly individual meetings, and guidance for professional development. Meetings and planning take place during regular scheduled hours, and the calendar includes vacations throughout the year.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- EEC Teacher qualified or working toward EEC Teacher qualifications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers.
- A sense of humor is helpful.
