Early Childhood Toddler Educator/Teacher - The LEAP School
About The Position
The LEAP School is hiring a caring, dedicated teacher for a toddler or preschool classroom at its Sudbury, Massachusetts location. Teachers design and implement curriculum based on their interests and strengths, students’ interests and needs, and collaboration with colleagues. A Curriculum Director supports teachers in presenting their curriculum. The school offers extensive training, small class sizes, regular supervision, paid planning time, and opportunities for professional growth. Full-time and afternoon positions are available for now, July, and September at locations in Lexington, Bedford, and Sudbury. The listed pay range is $21.00–$30.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience teaching infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- EEC (Early Education & Care) qualification, or be in the process of becoming qualified.
- Certified Teacher, Early Childhood Education (ECE), or Child Development Associate (CDA) qualification.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement curriculum for a toddler or preschool classroom.
- Maintain a classroom environment that supports students’ needs.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and individualize teaching to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with and support fellow teachers on a consistent basis.
- Use the school’s communication tools to build relationships with students’ parents.
- Participate in professional development, including weekly supervision, ongoing training, paid planning time, staff meetings, and curriculum meetings.
- Contribute to a positive atmosphere through flexibility and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
