About The Position
The Subcontract Administrator procures materials, equipment, supplies, and services for complex aerospace electronics according to program requirements and specifications. The role supports development of supplier statements of work across multiple contract types and ensures compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and procurement compliance requirements. The position manages supplier solicitations, evaluations, selection recommendations, proposal reviews, negotiations, subcontract awards, and post-award administration. It also coordinates technical evaluations and engineering changes, oversees subcontract funding and supplier spending, tracks milestone payment plans, and authorizes invoice payments. The role serves as an authorized procurement and subcontract signatory and supplier contractual point of contact, while representing the subcontracts function on cross-functional teams. This is a fully remote position.
Requirements
- Typically a bachelor's degree and six years of work experience, or equivalent experience.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Six or more years of related work or education experience in defense contracting and supplier management.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP, FAR/DFAR, flow-down requirements, and financial acumen.
- Proficiency across the full subcontract lifecycle, from solicitation to closeout.
- Demonstrated results negotiating and executing subcontracts.
Responsibilities
- Procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services for complex aerospace electronics according to program-specific requirements and specifications.
- Support development of supplier statements of work for multiple contract types while adhering to FAR, DFAR, and procurement compliance requirements.
- Coordinate subject matter expert inputs to technical evaluations of complex subcontractor proposals, assessing realism, reasonableness, and completeness.
- Manage supplier solicitations, develop evaluation criteria, recommend supplier selections, and compile supplier request-for-proposal packages aligned with customer proposal scope, schedule, and objectives.
- Lead supplier proposal evaluations and use price analysis techniques to assess cost, technical, and financial viability, including suppliers’ ability to perform within proposed cost, technical, and schedule parameters.
- Negotiate subcontract provisions and support preparation of subcontract packages for review, approval, and supplier awards.
- Support negotiations of subcontract additions, deletions, or modifications; coordinate Engineering Change Orders and manage Subcontractor Data Requirements List communications and deliverables.
- Perform post-award activities, including modifications, funding management, supplier spend tracking, milestone payment plans, and authorization of invoice payments.
- Exercise authorized signature authority for procurements and subcontracts and act as the contractual point of contact with suppliers.
- Represent the subcontracts function on cross-functional teams and build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
