Student Worker - Education and Volunteer Coordinator - World Hunger Relief
About The Position
We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to jump in and help out. We need an individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to organize, a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and can be trusted to work to complete assigned tasks without being micromanaged. This role involves educating visitors of all ages about the realities of our food system and sustainable agricultural alternatives, assisting the community engagement coordinator in developing and executing educational activities, and working alongside a team as well as facilitating volunteer and group learning experiences. The position requires the ability to sustain extended periods of time working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50lbs routinely.

Responsibilities
- Administrative duties
- Clean/organize facilities
- Farmers Market preparation and staffing
- Customer service and group orientation
- Urban Homestead Garden care
- Supporting community outreach and educational programs on-farm and in the community
- Educate, instruct, orient, train, and inspire volunteers and clients in the realm of composting, sustainable agriculture, hunger alleviation, and food justice
- Compost pickups and sorting as needed
- Run various routine errands, as required, for the farm
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
