About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach Forensic Psychology (PSY3173, Section B00) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on the study of individual human behavior as it relates to law and justice systems, including current research in forensic psychology. The course is offered in person on Mondays from 13:00-14:30 and Wednesdays from 11:30-13:00. The expected enrollment is 156 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge in Forensic Psychology
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Nice To Haves

  • Competence in a second language (passive).

Responsibilities

  • Teach Forensic Psychology (PSY3173, Section B00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if an absence is known in advance.
