About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course SCS2160 B00: Social Sciences and Changing Societies during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course will explore processes of social transformation in various domains such as education, health, gender relations, parenthood, or sexual identities, illustrating the relationship between social change and social science theories. Students will gain skills to understand how knowledge building evolves by considering the actors involved in data and knowledge production. The course is taught in English and is in-person.

Requirements

  • PhD in sociology or completed sociology Ph.D. coursework or equivalent training in social sciences.
  • Track record that demonstrates expertise and capacity to teach course on history of ideas in social science evidenced by teaching courses identical or similar or publications in this field.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
