About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach SCS2150, Social Sciences and Research, during the Winter 2027 semester. The course introduces the research process, including defining a research object, conducting a literature review, formulating research questions, and understanding data collection techniques (documentary, statistic, qualitative, and visual). It also covers the general principles of rigorous and critical research practices applicable in scientific and professional environments. The course is taught in English and is in-person.

Requirements

PhD in sociology or completed sociology Ph.D. coursework or equivalent training in social sciences.
Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of social sciences and research in the form of previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
