About The Position

UPMC’s Student Nurse Internship (SNI) program is a temporary, 10-week paid opportunity during the Summer of 2027 designed for UPMC School of Nursing students with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027. This program allows interns to apply their education in practice by working alongside a preceptor, participating in supplementary educational sessions, and building confidence as future nurses. Interns will work at one hospital for the summer, with the opportunity to shadow at least one additional nursing area. They can work up to 40 hours per week, following their preceptor’s schedule, with flexibility for other obligations. The program also offers networking opportunities with UPMC Nursing Leadership, mentorship, and the chance to apply for Graduate Nurse opportunities before the program concludes.
