About The Position
The Think Big Program is a paid, two-year internship associated with the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program. Students work toward an Associate in Applied Sciences while alternating eight-week periods at Illinois Central College in East Peoria and eight-week internships at an Altorfer branch. Coursework includes Fundamentals of Hydraulics, Caterpillar Engine Fuel Systems, Fundamentals of Electrical Systems, Diagnostic Testing, and Undercarriage/Final Drives. The internship is scheduled to start in August 2027.
Responsibilities
- Attend the two-year program, alternating between eight-week periods at Illinois Central College and eight-week internships at an Altorfer branch.
- Participate in coursework related to hydraulics, Caterpillar engine fuel systems, electrical systems, diagnostic testing, and undercarriage/final drives.
