About The Position

UPMC’s Student Nurse Internship (SNI) program is a temporary, 10-week paid opportunity during the Summer of 2027 for UPMC School of Nursing students with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027. This program allows interns to apply their education by working alongside a preceptor, participating in supplementary educational sessions, and building confidence as future nurses. Interns will work at one assigned hospital for the summer, with the opportunity to shadow at least one additional nursing area. The program allows for flexibility in work hours, accommodating obligations outside of a full-time schedule, and up to 40 hours per week. Interns will have the chance to apply for Graduate Nurse opportunities at UPMC before the program concludes, network with UPMC Nursing Leadership, receive mentorship, contribute to the community, and make an impact on patient care.
