About The Position

UPMC’s Student Nurse Internship (SNI) program is a temporary, 10-week paid opportunity during the Summer of 2027 designed for UPMC School of Nursing students with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027. This program allows interns to apply their education by working alongside a preceptor, participating in educational sessions, building confidence, and networking with nursing leadership. Interns will work at one assigned hospital for the summer, with the possibility to shadow other nursing areas. While interns can work up to 40 hours per week, flexibility is available for those with other obligations. The program also provides an opportunity to apply for system-wide Graduate Nurse positions before the internship concludes, and to give back to the community while making an impact on patient care.
