About The Position

The Student Enrollment Coordinator owns the enrollment process to meet 100% campus enrollment goals. The role builds local interest, manages first-year enrollment, and monitors student and family persistence. The coordinator raises awareness of Phalen Leadership Academies, promotes the campus and its available grades, secures applicants, and guides families through the persistence pipeline. The position develops relationships with current families to support re-enrollment and executes targeted community recruitment. It works in partnership with the principal and school staff to identify families at risk of leaving and carry out retention strategies. The role represents the school to prospective families and community organizations through outreach, presentations, recruitment activities, events, tours, and open houses. Phalen Leadership Academies is an education nonprofit that operates turnaround schools and charter school start-ups, and offers summer learning, reading and math intervention, and workforce development programs. Its campus serves kindergarten through 12th grade and uses data-driven instruction, differentiated learning, small-group instruction, and one-to-one intervention. Requirements

High school diploma required; college preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, sales, or business development.
Intimate knowledge of the campus community and its unique needs.
Strong ability to connect with parents and families about their children's educational needs.
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with current families through consistent campus engagement to achieve 90% or greater re-enrollment.
Manage the full re-registration process and ensure families complete required steps on time.
Provide returning families with timely communication, reminders, and support throughout the re-enrollment cycle.
Partner with the principal and school staff to identify at-risk families and implement proactive retention strategies.
Execute targeted recruitment aligned to campus needs, including building relationships with local childcare centers, youth organizations, housing authorities, and community groups.
Represent the school through consistent, high-quality outreach and position it as a premier local charter option.
Conduct off-site presentations and community engagement activities to generate new leads.
Participate in neighborhood walks, door-to-door outreach, and other grassroots recruitment efforts.
Host and attend enrollment events, tours, and open houses to attract prospective families.
