Strings Teacher - Creative Music Center
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is hiring a part-time strings teacher to provide in-person instruction at Creative Music Center in Monroe, Connecticut. The center offers students of all skill levels positive opportunities to explore music through a progression of discovery. The teacher may set their availability within the school's open hours; consistent availability is preferred. The ability to teach viola and other string instruments is a plus. Pay is $32–$38 per hour, commensurate with experience. Health benefit options and a 401(k) program with employer matching are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment. Requirements
- A strong music background, demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- A demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
