Strings Teacher - Creative Music Center
About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun and professional strings teacher to provide in-person instruction at Creative Music Center in Monroe, Connecticut. The teacher will help students of all skill levels explore music through a positive and rewarding learning experience. The ability to teach viola and other string instruments is a plus. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability, and consistency is appreciated by students and staff. Pay is $32–$38 per hour, commensurate with experience. Health benefit options and a 401(k) program with employer matching are available to part-time and full-time employees after 30 days of employment.
Requirements
- Strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
