Voice and Piano Teacher - Creative Music Center
About The Position
Creative Music Center is seeking a fun and professional voice and piano teacher to teach in person, part-time at its studio in Monroe, Connecticut. The school is part of Ensemble Schools, a collaborative network of community-driven music and dance schools. Creative Music Center provides students of all skill levels with positive, memorable opportunities to explore music through a progression of discovery. Teachers may set their availability within the studio’s open hours. Consistency is appreciated by students and staff, and candidates with greater availability will be preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $32 to $38 per hour. Health benefit options and a 401(k) program with employer matching are available to part- and full-time employees after 30 days of employment.
Requirements
- Strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.

- Greater availability within the studio’s open hours; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.
