Strategy & Operations Associate, GTM

Interplay Learning
•$100,000 - $110,000•Remote

About The Position

The Strategy & Operations Associate, GTM is a strategy-and-operations role in the Commercial Operations department, serving as a close partner to the EVP of Commercial Operations. The role owns cross-functional programs that advance go-to-market execution and runs the operating rhythm that aligns marketing, SDR, sales, and revenue leadership. The associate participates in the weekly revenue leadership meeting, receives quarterly mandates, and is expected to define the approach, align stakeholders who do not report to them, and carry initiatives through to adoption. The role combines strategic judgment, structured problem-solving, and follow-through rather than focusing solely on analysis. It involves using AI tools such as Claude, learning systems including Salesforce and HubSpot, and automating manual work. The position offers direct executive exposure, early ownership of cross-functional programs, and a growth path toward broader strategy and operations leadership. Interplay trains the skilled-trades workforce—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities, and data centers—using immersive simulation and AI. The position is remote-first, with Austin, Houston, or Dallas, Texas-area candidates preferred or commutable. Interviews are conducted remotely unless a step requires otherwise. Candidates must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Following an offer, the company requires a background check and drug and alcohol screening; new hires must also complete I-9 and E-Verify processes.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy and operations, program management, chief of staff, or business operations; GTM or RevOps experience is welcome but not required.
  • Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives through adoption, including influencing people without direct authority; be prepared to explain an initiative end to end.
  • Executive-ready communication skills, including turning ambiguity into clear recommendations, written plans, and pre-reads.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools, especially Claude or similar tools, for analysis, drafting, and automation, with something built to demonstrate.
  • Comfort learning new systems and willingness to become a hands-on Salesforce and HubSpot user within the first 90 days.
  • Ability to structure problems, identify relevant measures, prioritize against a quarterly mandate, and keep multiple workstreams moving in a resource-conscious environment.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B SaaS exposure.
  • Startup or high-growth experience, including operating through organizational change.
  • Board or leadership reporting experience.
  • Program or roadmap design experience, including territory design, account planning, or target-list development.
  • ROI or value-engineering program experience.
  • Prior Salesforce or HubSpot administration or power-user experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, or BI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Run the weekly revenue leadership meeting as chief of staff to the EVP: set the agenda, prepare pre-reads and a weekly view of progress against targets, capture decisions and actions, assign owners, and drive follow-through.
  • Lead cross-functional GTM initiatives from planning through execution and measurement, including the ROI program and skill-leveling initiatives.
  • Set initiative plans, align owners across teams, track progress, and ensure programs achieve their intended outcomes.
  • Drive strategic account sequencing and targeting so marketing and SDR teams engage the right accounts in the right order.
  • Partner with the EVP of Revenue and SDR leader on territory design, account assignments, top-account planning, and segment-based target-list development.
  • Identify points where revenue velocity stalls between marketing and sales, design cross-functional fixes, and drive them through operational adoption.
  • Use AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve GTM operations.
  • Learn and use Salesforce and HubSpot hands-on, becoming an active user within the first 90 days.
