Strategy & Operations Analyst

Formlabs•Somerville, MA
•$85,000 - $140,000•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Strategy & Operations Analyst at Formlabs, you will turn business problems into practical solutions, taking requests from teams across Finance, Operations, Sales, Support, and R&D, defining the work, coordinating stakeholders, and building solutions using SQL, Python, automation, and AI tools. You will also partner with the CIO to run the IT & Systems organization’s OKRs, reporting, and roadmapping across a 26-person team covering data platform, digital systems, financial systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. This is an early-career role for someone who learns quickly and has analytical or operations experience in consulting, a startup, or a BizOps team. The role emphasizes building and implementing solutions rather than only preparing presentations. You will report directly to the CIO and work closely with leaders of each IT & Systems team. The position is based in Formlabs’ Somerville, Massachusetts office and is hybrid, with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office.

  • Familiarity with software procurement, vendor management, or SaaS spend management.
  • Interest in hardware, manufacturing, or 3D printing.

  • Build SQL queries, Python scripts, integrations, and low-code or AI-powered automations to close gaps between systems, then hand off ongoing ownership to the appropriate domain team.
  • Run the IT & Systems OKR process by gathering inputs, tracking progress, and surfacing risks early.
  • Own the data, cadence, and initial drafts of recurring leadership reporting, roadmap rollups, and cloud, SaaS, and AI-tool spend reporting.
  • Improve organizational operations, including software purchasing, renewals, license hygiene, and vendor coordination, with an emphasis on automation.
  • Prepare analysis and materials for executive and cross-functional discussions, translating technical work into business outcomes.
