About The Position

The Coordination Analyst serves as the primary intake and orchestration point for many inquiries and recurring deliverables from Fujikura. The role assesses requests, identifies appropriate stakeholders and approved information sources, coordinates responses, and prepares clear, accurate, audience-appropriate communications. It works across Corporate Strategy, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IT, and AFL Division and Business Unit leadership. The analyst exercises judgment about priorities, response depth, confidentiality, escalation, and cross-cultural communication while minimizing disruption to leaders and subject matter experts. This is a developmental role that builds a broad understanding of AFL and its relationship with Fujikura, and can lead to opportunities within Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, or other AFL functions. Success includes completing assigned requests accurately and on time, reducing repeat outreach, producing consistent and well-supported responses with traceable sources and approvals, escalating sensitive matters effectively, increasing reuse of information and self-service capabilities, and receiving positive stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, supply chain, communications, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 2–5 years of experience in strategy, business operations, program coordination, financial or operational analysis, consulting, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to turn complex inputs into clear, concise, executive-ready responses.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests, stakeholders, and deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Sound judgment regarding prioritization, confidentiality, escalation, and level of detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify missing information and reconcile inconsistent inputs.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across multiple corporate functions or business units.
  • Exposure to executive communications, board materials, parent-company reporting, or global organizations.
  • Working knowledge of Japanese business culture, communication norms, and consensus-based decision processes.
  • Professional proficiency or fluency in Japanese, written and verbal; this is a significant advantage but is not required.
  • Experience using business intelligence, workflow automation, knowledge-management, or AI-enabled research tools.
  • Interest in developing a broad understanding of AFL’s businesses, operations, financial drivers, and governance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary intake point for assigned Fujikura inquiries and recurring information requests; clarify the business question, requested output, audience, timing, sensitivity, and decision context.
  • Classify requests by urgency, complexity, recurrence, and required leadership involvement, and determine whether approved data, prior responses, standard reports, or self-service tools can address them.
  • Track open requests, owners, milestones, dependencies, and due dates.
  • Identify and engage appropriate AFL subject matter experts and data owners, define required inputs, and avoid unnecessary or duplicative requests.
  • Coordinate response review and validation, follow up on open items, and resolve gaps, conflicts, or unclear ownership.
  • Synthesize inputs into concise, accurate, audience-appropriate responses, adapting communication style and context for Fujikura and other global stakeholders.
  • Apply consistent structure, terminology, detail, and supporting evidence; verify that information comes from approved sources and clearly identify assumptions, limitations, and open items.
  • Prepare executive-ready summaries, briefing materials, presentations, and written responses, and conduct final quality reviews for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and tone.
  • Recognize requests requiring functional leadership, executive judgment, legal or compliance review, or direct discussion with Fujikura; escalate material risks, conflicting positions, sensitive information, and matters outside the team’s authority.
  • Maintain records of approvals, source information, and final responses, and support development and application of response protocols, decision rights, service levels, and escalation criteria.
  • Identify recurring questions and deliverables that could be standardized, automated, or converted into dashboards or self-service capabilities.
  • Partner with the Knowledge & Insights Analyst, AI Engineer, and Data Analyst to improve tools, workflows, and source access; capture lessons learned and refine templates, playbooks, FAQs, and reporting methods.
