About The Position

This role is for a senior marketer who wants to operate as a high-leverage individual contributor, writing and running the marketing playbook for the Meridian sub-brand of Pilot. Meridian is an AI operating system developed for accounting firms to manage their clients' books using agentic AI. The primary segment for this role is mid-market accounting firms. The marketer will be responsible for defining the go-to-market strategy, driving pipeline, and shaping the messaging for this segment. The role involves operating as a senior individual contributor, with the potential to manage one or two senior ICs if a coaching fit develops. The marketer will report to the VP of Marketing and work with a shared team of senior specialists in areas like lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, product marketing, content, and partner marketing. The marketing team has grown significantly and operates with high ownership and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including time in enterprise or multi-stakeholder sales environments.
  • Strong foundation in demand generation and account-based marketing, including pipeline ownership and conversion metrics.
  • Ability to hold a strategic narrative and shape category understanding.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales leadership on account prioritization and pipeline goals.
  • AI-fluent in workflow, using LLMs and AI tools for research, drafting, and iteration.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor, building and running programs.
  • Clear writing and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to a partner and selling through one, and comfortable building programs that support both.
  • Open to managing one or two senior ICs if the coaching fit develops, or staying purely IC if it doesn't.

Responsibilities

  • Define segment strategy and execution for winning mid-market accounting firms.
  • Drive pipeline generation and be accountable for segment production, partnering with sales to move prospects from first impression to signed contract.
  • Shape the messaging for Pilot's communication to mid-market accounting firms, both externally and in sales materials.
  • Develop repeatable demand and partner programs for Meridian.
  • Build full-funnel programs with support from shared specialists.
