About The Position

This role is for a Strategic Marketing Lead focused on enterprise B2B marketing for mid-market accounting firms adopting Meridian, an AI operating system developed by Pilot. The primary goal is to build and execute the go-to-market strategy, generate pipeline, and shape messaging for this specific segment. The role is designed for a senior marketer who will operate as a high-leverage individual contributor, building programs and owning pipeline with support from shared specialists. The position reports to the VP of Marketing and involves collaboration with other marketing functions and potentially managing other senior individual contributors if coaching relationships develop. The marketing team has experienced significant growth and is composed of senior channel experts who operate with high ownership and drive substantial revenue. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or Nashville, requiring in-office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including time in enterprise or multi-stakeholder sales environments.
  • Strong foundation in demand generation and account-based marketing.
  • Experience with pipeline ownership and conversion metrics.
  • Ability to hold a strategic narrative and shape category understanding.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales leadership on account prioritization and pipeline goals.
  • AI-fluent in personal workflow, using LLMs and AI tools for research, drafting, and iteration.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor (IC).
  • Writes and communicates clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the segment strategy for winning mid-market accounting firms.
  • Own and drive pipeline generation for the segment in close partnership with sales.
  • Shape the messaging and positioning for Pilot's offerings to mid-market accounting firms.
  • Build programs that move prospects from first impression to signed contract.
  • Develop repeatable demand and partner programs.
  • Collaborate with the Franchise IC and the Partner Marketing & Events Lead.
  • Potentially manage one or two senior ICs if coaching fit develops.
