About The Position

This role is for a senior marketer who wants to operate as a high-leverage individual contributor, responsible for writing and running the marketing playbook for Meridian, an AI operating system developed by Pilot for accounting firms. The focus is on enterprise B2B marketing with longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders. The primary segment is mid-market accounting firms adopting Meridian, which is a sub-brand of Pilot. The role requires taking trust to market and generating pipeline at scale. The individual will build programs, write messaging, and own pipeline generation, with support from shared specialists. Collaboration with the Franchisor motion and Partner Marketing & Events function is expected. There is a potential growth path to managing adjacent individual contributors if coaching relationships develop, otherwise, the focus remains on individual work. The role reports to the VP of Marketing and will work with a shared team of senior specialists in lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, product marketing, content, and partner marketing. The marketing team has experienced significant growth and operates with high ownership, driving a substantial portion of Pilot's revenue. Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Experience in enterprise or multi-stakeholder sales environments.
  • Strong foundation in demand generation and account-based marketing.
  • Experience with pipeline ownership and conversion metrics.
  • Ability to hold a strategic narrative and shape category understanding.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales leadership on account prioritization and pipeline goals.
  • AI-fluent in workflow, using LLMs and AI tools for research, drafting, iteration, and scaled execution.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor.
  • Clear and effective writing and communication skills.
  • Experience marketing to complex B2B buyers with multi-stakeholder, longer sales cycles.
  • Understanding of selling to partners versus selling through partners.
  • Comfortable building programs that support both partner selling motions.

Nice To Haves

  • Open to managing one or two senior ICs if the coaching fit develops.
  • Willingness to stay purely IC if coaching fit does not develop.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute segment strategy for winning mid-market accounting firms.
  • Generate pipeline and be accountable for segment production.
  • Partner with sales to align on account prioritization and build programs to move prospects from first impression to signed contract.
  • Shape messaging for mid-market accounting firms, both externally and for sales team materials.
  • Develop repeatable demand and partner programs for Meridian.
  • Build full-funnel programs.
  • Operate as a high-leverage individual contributor.
