About The Position

Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies. We are looking for a Strategic Finance, GTM lead to partner with our Sales and Marketing leaders. This role will own the planning, investment, and scaling of the go-to-market organization, including revenue forecasting, capacity planning, compensation design, and deal-desk operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong modeling and analytical skills, along with the operational acumen to drive results in a fast-paced, consumption-based business environment.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in strategic finance, GTM finance.
  • Direct experience with consumption-based revenue models and their planning/forecasting nuances.
  • Experience designing or owning sales compensation plans.
  • Expert financial modeling skills, including top-down/bottoms-up revenue builds, capacity and quota models, and commissions calculation.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, executive-ready narratives.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple work streams under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with CRO, RevOps, and segment leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue forecasting, sales capacity planning, and quota setting across all GTM segments.
  • Build and maintain the GTM operating model, including top-line forecasting, ramp, productivity, and segment unit economics.
  • Run budget-vs-actual analysis on GTM spend, including variances and reforecasts for monthly business reviews and quarterly board reporting.
  • Deliver executive and board-ready analyses on pipeline health, productivity, win rates, segment ROI, and competitive dynamics in the AI infrastructure market.
  • Partner with Sales and RevOps on annual compensation plan design, quota attainment, and segment-specific structures aligned with consumption economics.
  • Own the bottom-up commissions forecast and the monthly reporting cadence.
