About The Position

Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible leaders to help us redefine the IT industry. In this role, you’ll be at the center of driving AWS’s GTM strategy, partnering directly with the AWS Specialist and Partners (ASP) organization to manage, optimize, transform a $5B+ investment portfolio. You’ll collaborate with senior Sales, Business Development, Data Science, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, develop new go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the day-to-day business and helping drive strategic growth for the future. You are a well-rounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving, and possess strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
• Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• MBA, or CFA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key finance partner to the ASP Partner Core team, collaborating across executive leadership to analyze inputs and outputs, assess business performance, and optimize asset allocation.
• Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program- and portfolio-level revenue, profit, and ROI impacts.
• Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support day-to-day decision making.
• Engage and influence across the AWS Sales, Finance, and Operations hierarchy, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customer’s experience, achieve common goals, and monitor risks.
• Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
