About The Position

Microsoft is seeking a Global Account Technology Strategist (ATS) to serve as the senior technology leader and de facto Microsoft CTO for one of its largest and most complex global strategic customers in diversified manufacturing. The role shapes the customer’s long-term technology agenda by connecting business strategy, operational priorities, technology landscape, and transformation ambitions with Microsoft’s technology, engineering, services, and partner ecosystem. Midwest-based candidates are strongly preferred because of the customer relationship, executive engagement model, and operating footprint. The strategist will develop a cohesive enterprise technology strategy and roadmap across a complex global environment that includes corporate functions, engineering and product development, manufacturing plants and factories, supply chain and logistics, field operations, operational technology and industrial systems, data centers, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data, and AI. The role requires understanding the intersection of IT and OT, manufacturing operations, supply-chain complexity, engineering, cloud and edge technologies, data platforms, AI, and enterprise modernization. The successful candidate will bring technical credibility, enterprise architecture expertise, business acumen, strategic thinking, and executive presence. They will advise senior executives and board-level stakeholders on technology strategy, transformation, investment priorities, risk, and business outcomes, while aligning Microsoft executives, engineering teams, specialists, services, and partners around the customer’s priorities. This is a senior technology strategy and advisory role, not a traditional technical sales role.
