About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental food and supplies, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports the Food Service Department by ensuring supplies are properly stored, tracked, ordered, and transported, and by following food safety, security, and workplace safety procedures. This is a full-time position at Mayo Clinic Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. The schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with days that may vary. The fixed pay rate is $22.50 per hour. Previous warehouse or stockroom experience is required, and the position requires lifting.

Requirements

Previous warehouse or stockroom experience.
Ability to lift.
A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required when transporting supplies on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies needed for efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
Store food and supplies in the correct containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so that the oldest products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering protocols.
Secure designated areas containing theft-sensitive items, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report needed maintenance or repairs for equipment to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and by prescribed deadlines.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and operate equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
