About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental food and supplies, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports efficient Food Service Department operations by following company procedures for storage, ordering, stock rotation, security, safe transportation, food safety, cleaning, and reporting. The position is full-time at Baptist Medical Desoto in Southaven, Mississippi. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some weekends included. The pay range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Previous food service experience is required.

A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required in some cases when transporting supplies on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies needed for efficient department operations.
Store food and supplies in correct containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so the oldest product is used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering procedures.
Secure designated areas, including areas containing theft-sensitive items, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Follow storeroom security and organization procedures.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and applicable MSDS sheets.
Use equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
