About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food items, as well as maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports efficient food service operations by managing stock, following storage and food-safety procedures, and transporting items safely. This is a part-time position at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with shifts that may vary. The fixed pay rate is $19.00 per hour. No experience is required.

• A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required in some cases when transporting supplies on the company's behalf.

Responsibilities

• Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
• Store food and supplies in the correct containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
• Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
• Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
• Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering procedures.
• Secure designated areas containing items such as theft-sensitive goods, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
• Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
• Report needed maintenance or repairs of equipment to the appropriate resources.
• Complete required daily, weekly, or monthly reports on time.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and operate equipment according to department safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
