STOREROOM/DELIVERY (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Storeroom/Delivery associate at Baptist Medical Desoto in Southaven, Mississippi. The role is responsible for receiving, storing, and managing inventory for departmental supplies and food, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The position pays $15.00 to $16.00 per hour and follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; some weekends are included. Previous food service experience is required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required when transporting supplies on behalf of the company. Requirements
- Previous food service experience.
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required when transporting supplies on behalf of the company.
Responsibilities
- Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
- Store food and supplies in suitable containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
- Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
- Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
- Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company procedures.
- Secure designated areas containing potentially dangerous chemicals, supplies, equipment, or items susceptible to theft, following storeroom security procedures.
- Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure safe, intact delivery.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
- Report maintenance or repair needs for equipment to the appropriate resources.
- Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and operate equipment according to department safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
