About The Position

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee and Chicago is hiring Store Team Members for production, donation attendant, sales floor associate, and cashier duties. Team members support Goodwill’s mission by pricing donated goods, accepting and sorting donations, organizing the sales floor, assisting customers, and processing purchases. Across these duties, employees help provide positive service to donors and shoppers and contribute to a smooth store experience. Goodwill describes opportunities for cross-training, advancement, and development of customer service skills.

Requirements

• One year of customer service, retail, or production experience is preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift while maintaining a customer service mindset.
• Donation Attendants must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and maintain customer service standards when interacting with donors.

Responsibilities

• Price donated items according to pricing guidelines and work toward production goals.
• Maintain an efficient flow of donations to support the sales floor.
• Greet and thank donors and carefully accept their donations.
• Sort incoming donations and help keep the production area organized.
• Organize the sales floor so customers can find items.
• Provide customer service, answer questions about Goodwill and its donations, and help customers navigate the store.
• Build relationships with customers, accurately process sales transactions, and explain how purchases support Goodwill’s mission.
