Store Team Member
About The Position
Store Team Members help build the company brand by delivering excellent customer service, engaging with customers, and advising them on products to provide service and drive sales. Depending on business needs, the role may also include merchandising, front-end, inventory, or other responsibilities. The position is referred to internally as Service Team Member and reports to the store management team. Team Members support product inventory and digital order fulfillment, maintain store safety and cleanliness, build product knowledge, and help ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to alcohol sales. Delivery duties may be assigned as an essential job function. The posting describes the role as regular and gives an hourly pay range of $14.84–$20.78.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and remain on one's feet for 8–10 hours a day.
- Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.
- May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide excellent and personalized service, build relationships, and advise customers about products and services.
- Process freight; organize and distribute inventory; pull and stock merchandise; build displays and end caps; and place signage.
- Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pickup and delivery services.
- Drive and make deliveries when assigned, loading and delivering orders safely and professionally while following company policies and traffic and safety laws.
- Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
- Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store.
- Follow applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
- Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
