About The Position

Store Team Members at Pet Supplies Plus provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and their pets. The role may involve helping customers select products, compare pet food ingredients, fit pets with accessories, answer animal-care questions, stock shelves, process purchases, and care for animals in the store. Team members may specialize as a cashier, stocker, or pet care team member, but may perform duties across these areas as needed. The position can be physically demanding and requires lifting 40–65 pounds and standing for long periods. Team members must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and pass a drug screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, neighborly customer service and help customers choose products for their pets.
Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Provide information about Preferred Pet Club memberships and offers.
Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
Stock shelves and keep products available for customers.
Carry purchases, including bags of kibble, cat litter, and aquariums, to customers’ cars.
Care for store animals, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling them.
Answer customers’ questions about animal care and help them find or maintain a pet.
Act as backup for teammates when extra help is needed.
