About The Position

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee and Chicago is hiring Store Team Members for its Evanston Store, including Salesfloor/Cashiers and Donation Attendants. Team members support Goodwill’s mission of helping people facing barriers to employment and provide customer service to donors and shoppers. The work may include pricing donations in Production, accepting and sorting donations, organizing the sales floor, assisting customers, and processing sales transactions. Goodwill describes opportunities for cross-training, advancement, and specialized training and development.

Requirements

• One year of customer service, retail, or production experience is preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift while maintaining a customer service mindset.
• Donation Attendants must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and maintain customer service standards when interacting with donors.

Responsibilities

• Price donated items according to pricing guidelines and work toward pricing goals.
• Maintain an efficient flow of donations to support a smooth customer experience on the sales floor.
• Greet and thank donors, carefully accept donations, and sort donations as they arrive.
• Help keep the production area organized.
• Organize the sales floor so customers can find items.
• Provide customer service to shoppers, answer questions about Goodwill and its donations, and help customers navigate the store.
• Build relationships with customers and accurately ring up sales transactions.
• Explain to customers how their purchases support Goodwill’s mission.
