About The Position

The full-time Store Team Leader (Store Manager) leads the Aerie store as its business owner, maximizing daily operations and results while developing a strong team through coaching and training. The role makes strategic decisions to achieve business goals, delivers operational excellence, and ensures the store meets AEO Brand Standards. The leader is expected to bring their authentic self to work and create a strong guest experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience leading functional teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and a general understanding of employment law.
• Effective communication and conflict-management skills.
• Business acumen and ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, store productivity, and guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience; create and manage a store business plan to achieve KPI goals.
• Analyze reporting and daily sales trends and make real-time business decisions to achieve store financial goals, owning controllable elements of the store's P&L.
• Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team; support associate development, internal career opportunities, succession planning, leadership training, performance feedback, individual development plans, and annual reviews.
• Build teamwork and recognition by establishing and communicating goals, holding the team accountable to brand standards, and recognizing strong performance.
• Maintain AEO Brand Visual Standards and oversee visual and merchandising processes, including Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, replenishment, and store readiness.
• Evaluate traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to adjust schedules, meet business needs, manage payroll, and use talent effectively.
• Make compensation decisions with integrity; ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards; and follow AEO policies and procedures.
