About The Position

The full-time Sr Store Team Leader is the general manager and business owner of an Aerie store, responsible for maximizing daily operations, developing a strong team through coaching and training, making strategic business decisions, delivering operational excellence, and maintaining AEO Brand Standards. The role focuses on driving sales and guest loyalty, owning the store business plan and controllable P&L elements, recruiting and developing associates and leaders, maintaining visual and merchandising standards, scheduling to meet business needs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Asset Protection Standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading functional teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and strong prioritization and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams, with a general understanding of employment law.
• Effective communication and conflict-management skills.
• Business acumen and ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
• Passion for AE and Aerie products.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing store productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
• Create, manage, and own the store business plan to meet KPI goals.
• Analyze reports and daily sales trends to make real-time business decisions and achieve store financial goals.
• Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team.
• Develop associates and store leadership through coaching, leadership development training, performance feedback, individual development plans, and annual performance reviews.
• Encourage associates to pursue internal opportunities and maintain succession plans and clear career paths.
• Establish and communicate goals, hold the team accountable to brand standards, and recognize and reward outstanding performance.
• Maintain AEO Brand Visual Standards and own visual and merchandising processes, including Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, and replenishment.
• Ensure the team understands its responsibilities for keeping the store guest-ready.
• Evaluate traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to create and adjust schedules based on business needs and manage payroll effectively.
• Make compensation decisions with integrity, meet Asset Protection Standards for audit and shrink results, and follow AEO policies and procedures.
