About The Position

The full-time Store Team Leader (Store Manager) leads the store as a business owner, maximizing daily operations, developing the team through coaching and training, making strategic decisions, and maintaining operational excellence and AEO Brand Standards. The role focuses on driving sales and guest loyalty, owning store business plans and controllable P&L elements, leading and developing associates, and ensuring an excellent guest experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading functional teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and a general understanding of employment law.
• Effective communication and conflict-management skills.
• Business acumen and ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, store productivity, and guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience; create and manage the store business plan to meet KPI goals.
• Analyze store reporting and daily sales trends and make timely business decisions to achieve financial goals.
• Recruit, hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team; provide leadership training, performance feedback, development plans, and annual reviews; and maintain succession plans and career paths.
• Establish and communicate team goals, hold associates accountable to brand standards, and recognize and reward strong performance.
• Own visual and merchandising processes, including Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, replenishment, and maintaining AEO Brand Visual Standards and a guest-ready store.
• Evaluate traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to adjust schedules, meet business needs, manage payroll, and align talent with guest experience demands.
• Make compensation decisions with integrity; ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards; and follow company policies and procedures.
