About The Position
The Store Shift Supervisor is responsible for store operations during an assigned shift and assists store management in ensuring efficient operations. Duties include sales, merchandising, pricing, display maintenance, and related paperwork. The role also supports personnel supervision, customer service, merchandise and donation handling, cash management, and compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of retail experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass applicable pre-screenings, such as background or drug screenings.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising store personnel.
- Arrange store windows, displays, and promotional activities.
- Sell merchandise, provide customer service, and resolve customer complaints by implementing HGI policy.
- Keep store premises and merchandise clean, safe, and organized.
- Ensure required store supplies are available.
- Follow required safety and security procedures.
- Comply with company and store policies, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and timely, accurate paperwork.
- Receive and verify merchandise from the warehouse and vendors.
- Ring sales accurately, handle money, reconcile cash, and make store deposits according to company policy.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties related to store operations.
- Receive donations and transport them to the designated area.
- Participate in required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
