About The Position

As a Merchandising Supervisor, you are the expert in merchandising and lead associates to deliver excellent customer service through sales-floor merchandising, pricing, and recovery. You teach, coach, develop, and supervise associates while consistently executing merchandising processes. The position also includes general supervisor responsibilities at Kohl’s, such as leading with integrity, fostering teamwork, modeling customer service, supporting operational standards and loss prevention, using key performance indicators to inform business decisions, and maintaining company policies and safety standards. Key holder duties include opening and closing the store and providing direction to associates. The role requires completing company training, following dress code and safety requirements, maintaining attendance and scheduling standards, and performing the physical requirements of the job. Pay starts at $19.50.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the job description and satisfactorily complete company training programs.
Ability to comply with dress code requirements.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet company scheduling requirements.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift, at least 8 hours.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in retail or a similar industry.

Responsibilities

Execute store merchandising standards and visual merchandising direction, adapting presentation to store layout, adjacencies, and needs in partnership with the Merchandising Manager.
Maintain a well-recovered selling floor with product displayed clearly and compellingly.
Maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor through remerchandising and replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
Coach, teach, and train merchandising associates to execute merchandising direction accurately, efficiently, and to brand standards.
Execute pricing activities, including price changes, sign changes, and ticketing procedures.
Support associate training on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools in accordance with Kohl’s brand standards.
Partner with the Operations team on merchandising incoming product and ensuring efficient execution.
Lead with integrity and honesty, foster teamwork, and promote an engaged and inclusive culture.
Model, guide, and provide direction to associates; coach customer-service practices and help resolve customer issues.
Lead by example by meeting or exceeding individual goals, including productivity, credit, and loyalty goals.
Support operational standards, shortage mitigation, accurate pricing, proper signing, and merchandising presentation.
Prevent loss by educating associates, monitoring store activity, maintaining product protection standards, enforcing company policies, and partnering with Loss Prevention.
When assigned as leader on duty, monitor and adjust resources to support customer needs and workload demands.
Use key performance indicators to make informed business decisions that drive store results.
Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Train, monitor, and reinforce company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Maintain adherence to company safety policies for associates and customers.
Perform key holder duties, including opening and closing store processes and directing associates.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
