Retail Store Manager- Paddock Place
About The Position
United Apparel Liquidators (UAL) is hiring a Store Manager for its Paddock Place location. UAL is a luxury fashion retailer offering designer clothing, shoes, accessories, and home goods at discounted prices. Store Managers divide their time between sales and store operations, leading by example in customer service and cultivating a team of approximately 5–8 employees. The role requires strong communication and flexibility to respond to scheduling issues or staffing shortages. Managers typically spend 60% of their time on sales activities and 40% on operations. Full-time employees usually work five 8-hour shifts per week. Schedules vary according to store needs and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Store hours are Sunday–Wednesday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Thursday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. The position includes physical work that may involve prolonged standing, occasional ladder climbing, frequent stair climbing and descending depending on location, and regularly lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance.
Requirements
- Flexibility to respond to schedule mishaps or staff shortages.

- Ability to occasionally climb ladders and frequently climb and descend stairs, depending on location.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 30 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and set a leading example for the team.
- Mentor new employees and provide constructive feedback.
- Set employee sales goals and help the team meet them.
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 5–8 employees by establishing company standards and store goals, using positive reinforcement.
- Manage scheduling and time and attendance.
- Handle onboarding and recruitment.
- Address employee discipline.
- Maintain the store.
- Communicate effectively and adapt to scheduling issues or staffing shortages.
