About The Position

The Store Manager is responsible for managing all store operations to maximize sales results and bring Burlington’s values to life. The role oversees the overall success of the store location and its associates, including day-to-day merchandising, operations, and service management. The Store Manager mentors, coaches, and serves as a role model for team members, partners with associates across the organization, and leads by example to deliver excellent customer service and a world-class shopping experience. The role manages a multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget and supports a team-oriented, respectful, and results-focused environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of retail management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Experience using scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and oversee Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure company policies, standards, expectations, and initiatives are implemented.
• Ensure Assistant Managers and store team members fulfill their individual responsibilities.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising, to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager, Operations, to review receiving, transfers, debits and damages, returns-to-vendor paperwork, and chargeback paperwork for inventory accuracy.
• Serve as Manager on Duty, lead by example, and follow and model Burlington standard operating procedures.
• Manage a multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget, including reviewing related reports and records.
• Recruit, screen, and hire associates to meet store staffing needs.
• Facilitate new associate onboarding and training, provide ongoing coaching, and implement structured learning and development activities for team members.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
• Manage the payroll budget, workforce management, and scheduling.
• Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district and regional management teams, and other company partners.
• Demonstrate professional customer service and provide customers with a world-class shopping experience.
• Take ownership of day-to-day merchandising, operations, and service management tasks.
