About The Position

At CVS Health, the Store Manager, Rx is a single-unit retail leader responsible for leading the store team to achieve operational and service excellence. The role manages, inspires, and coaches Front Store crew and management colleagues, and supports the pharmacy and other in-store teams to promote a holistic, collaborative store environment. The Store Manager communicates effectively, applies standard operating procedures and best practices consistently, provides appropriate support across departments, and schedules to business needs. The role models CVS Health’s Heart At Work behaviors and HelpingWithHeart Actions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete all required training for the current role within the required timeframe.
• Hold pharmacy technician licensure; state-level requirements vary.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early morning and evening shifts according to store needs and operating hours.
• Work at least two closing shifts per week and four weekend shifts per month.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended amount of time.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain a healthy talent pipeline by overseeing front-store and cross-trained colleague performance and development, including hiring, training, performance management, and termination when required.
• Ensure appropriate staffing by scheduling to demand, publishing schedules three weeks in advance, and managing store labor spending.
• Improve store performance measures, including sales, service, loyalty, shrink, and compliance, by coaching colleagues and addressing operational barriers.
• Maintain a safe, high-quality working environment that complies with regulatory and company standards.
• Oversee timely, quality training for front-store and cross-trained colleagues.
• Conduct regular check-ins with direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement.
• Maintain strong working relationships with the Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team, and other in-store teams to foster a One Team mentality and support a total-store staffing pipeline.
• Partner with the FS DL to establish store priorities, implement initiatives, and engage colleagues.
• Represent CVS Health through professional behavior and positive community engagement.
